Relaunching a modern American perfumery

Commodity is an artisanal fragrance brand that first launched in 2014 following a successful Kickstarter campaign. While the brand has been subsequently bought and sold several times it maintained a cult following due to its anti-branding’ approach, making it more about a personal response to the fragrances as opposed to the fragrance itself. In 2019 we began work with the new owner based in New York – the task was to relaunch the brand, maintaining the core philosophy but evolving it to appeal to a wider audience in multiple territories, whilst also communicating a new, disruptive concept unseen in the fragrance world.
